ONLY A MINER
Only a miner who works underground,
Toiling and striving all the year round,
Fretting and pining his poor life away,
Though he labours hard he receives little pay.
Shut up in the dreary, dismal, dark mine,
From the pure air of heaven, where the sun never shines,

Surrounded by darkness and dangers unseen,
As the sweat trickles down him in many ways a stream,
He braves death and dangers to earn a bit bread,
While others stay snugly and warm in their bed.

School memories
I remember, I remember,
The swimming lessons in year three,
The science test they gave us,
And all the best things about me.
I remember, I remember,
Miss Mangle in year four,
The way she helped me in class,
Wanting to help me more.
I remember, I remember,
The best teacher in class five,
How he had to help us,
And he helped me stay alive.
I remember, I remember,
Little Chloe in year six,
My best friend who always stayed by me,
And all my problems she helped me fix.
