In February, Primary school headteacher Mrs. Smith with teachers Mrs. Skinner, Miss Clarkson, and Miss Price were given the oppertunity to experience education in Tanzania with a visit to a Primary school in the village of Kinshasha. The pictures show the staff of both Hunwick and Kinshasha schools and the Hunwick staff working in one of the classrooms.
In June of this year the Headteacher of Kinshasha will visit Hunwick School for 10 days.

Hello everyone. Sorry there has been a period of inactivity on the site but as our regular visitors will have noticed we have been undergoing somewhat of a revamp. 'As yors truly wus awer thick te sort oot the woorkins o the new set up' things have been quiet. However
I am up to speed now (Thanks to Steve Thompson of Middlesbrough University) so keep looking. Some things on the site are not fully functional but the news and timelime sections are and we now have a visitors book so please feel free to 'visit' even if its just to say hello. The Digital Village Project has now entered phase two. One digital camera workshop has taken place which four villagers have completed and another one starts tonight for another six people. The focus of phase two is family learning and we have already completed one family tree course where ten villagers took part. We have two more arranged with seven people on each. Courses are tutored by the Adult Learning Center.
